// News - PLANNING GRANTED FOR WINWICK QUAY TRANSFORMATION
One of the North West's most prominent Business Parks has received a planning boost to start off the New Year.
The Park, which totals 400,000 sq ft has received planning consent for a further 70,000sqft of Trade Counter/B1/B2/B8 units and 185 car parking spaces, as well as a new road creating direct access onto the A49.
Since a change of ownership in Feb 08 the owners have invested nearly £2million transforming the site with a further £5 million planned, demonstrating Winwick Quay LLP's commitment to Warrington and the site.
Gareth Riddell of Riddelltps said 'These new units will enable Winwick Quay Business Park to cement its place as one of the North West's most succesfull Business Parks. Its excellent location on the A49 and lying directly off Junction 9 of the M62 means we have experienced record levels of interest and lettings despite the current economic climate. We can now add to the tenant mix by incorporating new trade counter uses along with our existing occupiers. The new link road will also give the site direct access to the A49 which currently has up to 50,000 cars passing the site each day.'
A total of 15 new lettings have been completed since Feb 08 and the new space will help the site cope with the current demand.
